Starting with clear, tangle-free hair and tangle-free hair extensions, practice opening and closing the tips by applying pressure to each side of the clip with your thumbs and then lay them out in the open position. Next, make a horizontal part across your scalp about 1 inch from the nape of your neck. Secure your hair that is above the part using a clip. Always add the middle clip first. Start the comb on the clip onto your natural hair and snap shut. Check if the attachment is securely in place. Repeat with the clips on the left & right side of the weft. The weft should lie flat and feel secure.

Release the clipped hair above the part and use a comb to make another horizontal part 1 inch above the earlier applied extension. Once again, clip your real hair that is above the part out of the way. Attach another weft in the same manner as the first. Remember to always attach the middle clip first. Proceed to make horizontal parts and attaching the extensions as you move up the back of the head. Tape-in Hair Extensions All You Need to Know

Hair extensions are a favorite to most women, but not all extensions fulfill women’s needs. How natural a hair extension looks is very significant especially for most sophisticated women who value the taste for beauty. All hair extensions should look real, no matter what. That is what women believe. Natural-looking hair extensions assure seamless integration of perfect and luxurious looks. Tape-in hair extensions come in to fill this want.

What Tape-in Hair Extensions are

Tape-in hair extensions use the same technology that lace-front wigs use when being secured at the front of the hairline. Thin straps of transparent double-sided tape are stuck at the weft base of virgin or Remy Indian human hair. These wefts are then taped to the scalp. One thing about this tape is that it is see-through and flexible. When attached to the scalp, the scalp is totally visible and the need for bulky braids and clips that glint in the light is eliminated. You can apply all your creativity in parting your hair and pulling up your tape-in extensions into full and partial updos confidently!

How Do Tape Hair Extensions Work?

Different brands that manufacture hair extensions provide peel-and-stick, pre-taped wefts, but these aren’t the best. If you want the best experience with hair extensions, buy your quality hair locks, weave tape, and a roll of the quality wig. Look for a good stylist who can assist you use for the extensions whenever you need to put them on.

You can decide to do a full or partial installation of the hair extension. Need a voluminous boost? Sandwiching parts of your natural hair between wefts of extensions will work magic. You simply part hair, section, and tape the extensions below and above. As always it is best to have a trained professional do the install.

How to Apply Clip-in Hair Extensions

Clip-in hair extensions are a simple way to obtain temporary length without spending a fortune at the salon for heat-applied extensions or a full sewn-in weave. 2. Smooth the rest of your hair away from the part and ensure it with a hair clip.

3. Slide the comb of the clip onto the roots of the part, and push the clip closed to achieve. Tease thin hair at the root of the part so the comb has more bulk to add to.

4. Remove hair from the hair clip and part it repeats from ear to ear, 1 to 1 1/2 inch above the first extension. Use for a longer hair extension and remain adding to the back of the head.

Which Extension Method Is Best for You?

Believe it or not, there’s a handful of ways to use for extensions.

The method you prefer will depend on the density and texture of your hair. Each of the following methods also has its maintenance regimens you should be aware of before choosing.

Clip-Ins

Clip-in extensions are the most common for short-term use. Their wefts attach easily to your natural hair. Which means you can do it yourself – no need for a stylist.

They’re also one of the most affordable options. There are both synthetic and natural clip-in extensions.

They tend to hold best with hair of medium density. Those with fine hair have to be careful, as they can be easily seen.

Tape-Ins

Looking to invest in long hair that will last up to 3 months? Is your hair thin?

Chances are your hair stylist will recommend tape-in extensions. These extensions attach to your natural hair, similar to clip-ins.

The difference is that they’re then taped and sealed to your natural hair. The tape can either be one-sided or double-sided.

Tape-in extensions are best for those with hair of thin or fine density. It’s best to go to a salon to have them put in professionally. Though they cost more, they’re a better quality that will give you long, natural hair for months!

How Should Care For Your Hair Extensions

Hair Extensions aren’t the hardest things to upkeep if you know the proper ways to care for them! Even if you own Human Hair extensions, they don’t function quite like real hair. Extensions don’t get the benefits of natural oils our scalp produces to keep our hair moisturized, so we have to keep that in mind when caring for our extensions. It is best not to wash them too often because that dries out the hair, even more, we advise regularly using hydration conditioning masks on the hair to lock in that moisture.

To increase the life of your hair extensions as long as possible, try not to shower, swim, or sleep in your pieces. Keep tangles out of the hair by continually and carefully brushing through them, even when you are wearing them. When it comes to products such as shampoos and conditioners, stay away from anything with alcohol in it which will strip the hair of any moisture it has. Also, with hairspray, don’t get anything too powerful or too heavy because it will leave a product residue and force you to wash them early! We recommend purchasing products specially made for that type of hair.

Once you are done rocking your beautiful long look, you need to perfectly store your extensions. We recommend using the Extension Storage Bag & Hanger which is the perfect storage to protect the hair!

Before putting them in the bag, ensure they are brushed and tangle-free. Tie them with a hair tie or ribbon and correctly put them inside. You can also use this bag to carry them wherever you go, it is perfect for traveling! By keeping them stored correctly, it protects them from any damage and keeps them ordered for the next time you need to wear them!
